Constituting Tribunals – Constitution Article 1 §8.9

ConstitutionThis week I’m studying Article 1 §8.8 of the Constitution. It’s called the Copyright and Patent Clause because it’s about Congress’ power to establish copyrights and patents. As a writer, I am very interested the concept of copyrights; as a human, I am very interested in living in a functional nation. Constitution Article 1 §8.5 – Coinage, Weights, and Measures

ConstitutionThis week I’m studying Article 1 §8.5 of the Constitution. It’s about the Congress’ power over coinage, weights, and measures. When I hear “coinage, weights, and measures” I think about how much stress I have related to my finances, my weight, and the shape of my body. I wish I could just leave it to Congress… yeah, actually I wouldn’t trust them with it. But Congress is in charge of money and weight at the national level.
