I’m certainly not the first person to comment on how strangely time passes during the pandemic, but I might be the most confused by why it should be so. As a freelancer who works from home, the landscape of my life is still my laptop, my days spent at my desk keeping track of deadlines and kids’ schedules. But I’m as surprised as anyone to find that another month has passed, and I have new published articles to share.

I published 12 posts on the blog in November. I finally got Google Analytics working (more or less) again, so I can see that my traffic was slightly up from September with the highest number of page views so far this year. The most popular posts in November were:
Frederick Ballentine in Recital at Seattle Opera
Amnesia, the Ultimate K-Drama Trope
The Necessary and Proper Clause
The Constitution: Copyrights and Patents
The most popular search queries that brought people to my site were:
i.8.18 constitution – that’s the copyright clause above
gemma alexander – that’s me!
red angels ballet – An excerpt from Red Angels was included in PNB’s Rep 1. It is the sort of piece you google after seeing it for the first time.
“ismail kadare” – I had to search my own blog to figure out where this came from. I mentioned Ismail Kadare as the “go-to” Albanian author for people Reading the World. But I read someone different.
