Published in January 2023
Considering that I was sick for basically all of December and felt like I spent all of January trying to catch up, I published a surprising number of articles at the beginning of 2023. See them all below the fold.

Crooked Road Blog
Aside from the December article roundup, I posted two things on the blog in January. One was my Goodreads Year in Books and the other one was about the most popular books at the public library.
Popular Posts
As always, K-drama posts Amnesia and Secret Childhood Connection were top performers. Some folks also looked at my bylines, which was gratifying. My review of Carmina Burana was probably in the top 10 because Tacoma Opera is performing it this winter. Other ballet posts did well: Slingerland Duet and Ballet in Music Videos. I don’t know why it was those two. I always thought Growth of the Soil was a relatively obscure book, but once again, my review got lots of views. And the new post about the library did well.
Search Terms
Once again variations on “kdrama amnesia” filled half of the top 10 search queries. My name ranked high, and it is nice to know people are looking for me. The rest of the top 10 were usual suspects: choose your own sex adventure, growth of the soil summary, one flat thing reproduced. But in the number two slot there was a fun surprise: fairy wings flower smell. I wonder where that came from. I tried googling it myself and my website was not among the search results. I even used the search bar on my website and got “nothing found.” So we’re ending January with a mystery.
