Published in December 2020
At the end of a stressful year, I meant to take time off in December. But I got caught in a windstorm of new work instead. Some of it hasn’t published yet, but a lot of it did. Here are the articles I wrote that published in December, 2020.
Earth911
Good Better Best: Home Heating Systems
LastObject Aims to Reduce Household Waste
I started a series on greenwashing:
Uncovering Greenwashing: Vague Promises & Irrelevance
I started compiling buyers guides again.
And an old article republished.
Green Giving: Five Nonprofits Clobbering Climate Change
.

How to Talk to Young Children About Race
And my snow play articles got their annual republishing.
Best Places to Go Sledding & Tubing for Seattle Families
Snowshoeing 101 for Seattle Families
.
Crooked Road Blog
The one place I did take a break was blogging. I only published six posts in December, half as many as the month before and fewer than any other month last year except August, which also had six posts.
Popular Posts
The most popular posts in December were:
Amnesia, the Ultimate K-Drama Trope
I’m not surprised that K-Drama tropes are a popular category. Last month I was busy watching the Chinese drama Legend of Awakening and rewatching The Legends (for the fourth time since I discovered it at the beginning of quarantine!). But I’ve just started watching Park Min-young’s Healer so hopefully I’ll have some new tropes to talk about soon.
For Shame – are other people as concerned about concert sound quality as I am, or are they just looking for a scandal?
Necessary and Proper – again with the Constitution posts. I’ll have to get back to those one of these days, too.
Growth of the Soil – I wonder why the sudden interest in a book review of a century-old novel by a racist Norwegian?
Common Queries
Growth of the Soil Summary was the top query in December. Go figure.
The next seven top queries were all variations on a theme of the keywords “kdrama” and “amnesia”. These were followed by two searches for article 2 section 1.2 using different formats. And those were the top 10 queries leading to my site in December. And thus 2020 ends not with a bang but a whimper.
