Published in December
I began the month of December in Hong Kong, where I kept working while my kids trained in kung fu. But when I got home, jetlag and the holidays conspired to slow my output. Even so, I published a few things in December. Hopefully my foggy brain made something better than word salad. Read on and see what you think.
Earth911
I wrote two articles about toilets (old habits die hard):
And a bunch of year end summaries and new year predictions (some of which will show up in January’s roundup):
What Experts Say We Need to Do in 2020
The Biggest Green News Stories of 2019
Green Roof Policies Are a Growing Trend
I started a new series on electricity:

ParentMap
Recurring seasonal topics and reprints drove my December ParentMap contributions.
Best Places for Sledding and Tubing Near Seattle
But there were a few deeper parenting topics, as well.
How to Teach Kids Global Citizenship
Is Faith-Based Education Right for Your Child?
.
Seattle Times
I put together a list of Seattle-based activities to celebrate the completion of the third Star Wars trilogy. Ironically, I was in Hong Kong at the time, so I didn’t attend any of these events and I haven’t seen the movie yet. Ssshhh! No spoilers.

Crooked Road Blog
I only posted eight times in December, mostly 1000 Words photo posts and Music I Liked, with one concert review. December’s most-read posts were:
The Looney Tunes World of Marriage of Figaro
State of the Union and Take Care Clause
So what I take from that list is that Mozart will always be popular and I was right when I decided the Constitution was a timely topic for study. I should probably get back to that project.
Referrals
Here’s the part where I’m still learning how to use Google Analytics. But it looks like about half of my traffic comes from Twitter, a third from my author bio on Earth911.com, and ten percent from my author bio on ParentMap.
Maybe next month I’ll figure out how to find the search terms people used to get here.
