Dang. I saw the post title and got very excited that you would be going back, so I could live vicariously again. I have no excuse for my own inertia.
I did go last year, but I never really got around to writing about it. The festival has really grown since 2014. You really should go – as you know, Icelandic black metal just keeps getting better and the festival is starting to pull some pretty big names. There’s not much better than seeing Meshuggah in a high school gym. (Maybe your inertia is more a matter of bringing the mountain to Mohamed?
