I listened to so much music last week I can’t begin to do it all justice. It’s the 20th anniversary of Pickathon, the festival in the woods outside of Portland and this is the first year I’m going. I checked out all the bands and came up with a list of literally dozens that I want to see, but today I’ll just mention HARAM and Marisa Anderson. I usually don’t pay attention to rereleases, but in the last week remastered versions of two albums I love (by Dynfari and Mouth of the Architect) were released. And I got caught up on the Bandcamp blog, which exposed me to Pod Blotz and Consider the Source.

Music I Liked – Black Tones, Khuu.eex’, Ritual Necromancy, and more
It was a good week for music, y’all. Last week I was still coasting on the high from Death Cab for Cutie, which included music from opening bands The Black Tones and Khuu.eex’. I also continued my dive into the backlog of posts from music blogs I subscribe to, which unearthed Ritual Necromancy, Twilight Fauna, and Anicon. Then Monster Magnet paid a visit.

Digging into the music blogs the last couple weeks reminded me that I like doing that. So I found Zeal and Ardor, Tomb Mold, and Raum Kingdom last week. Then I missed a KEXP in-studio for Sunflower Bean, but I did see Death Cab for Cutie at the Paramount.
