After Azerbaijan, the next country in my literary journey around the world should have been the Bahamas. But I ended up taking the wrong figurative plane and landed in Barbados instead. That worked out well for me, but now it’s time to return to my original itinerary.
In April, I won my first grant as a certified grant writer. The grant will purchase supplies for a monthly Family Day event at the Vashon Heritage Museum. Although it was a small grant, I hope that it is a sign of good things to come. I also had a few articles published in April.
I didn’t quite meet my 2024 reading challenge goal of 107 books (one more than I read in 2023), but I read some very challenging books, so I mostly feel okay about it. In any case, for my own amusement (and yours, should you actually enjoy this sort of thing) here’s a look at how much of what kind of reading I did in 2024. I’d love to hear from you if you read some of the same things.
