I’m way behind in sharing music that I liked, and this new WordPress editor is not my friend. I will never get back the time I spent uselessly trying to get this post’s featured image to appear in the right place. But recently I have listened to and liked Unreqvited, Eneferens, Clouds, Henry Derek Elis, and 4 Non Blondes.

This is Signal Hill Park (Xinhao Shan 信号山) in Qingdao. It is one of the ten important hill parks in Qingdao, and was very close to our hotel in the old German concession area. These red blobs are look-out towers for tourists. But to me, they look like Studio Ghibli creatures keeping watch over the city.

On Wednesdays we study the Constitution. These days, I’m learning about the second article of seven, which deals with the presidency. Last week I looked at Article 2 §2.2, the treaty-making clause. This week it’s more Article 2 §2.2. This part is about presidential appointments. (Not the calendar kind.)

I’ve missed a few Monday music posts, but not for lack of listening. I’ve got quite a backlog of music I liked and was too busy to write up. But now I’m going to start catching up. Some of the things I liked lately are Chthonic, Phosphorescent, Adwaith, and Ylja.

Yesterday I had the tremendously satisfying experience of getting paid for work done in October on the same day that I prepared invoices for work submitted in November. It made me feel very professional and financially secure.
