These days I’m studying Article 2 of the Constitution, which deals with the Executive branch of government. That’s a hot topic these days, and one our current Executive doesn’t seem to understand very well. Last week in Article 2 §1.3 I started to learn about what the electors do. This week I’m looking at Article 2 §1.4 which puts Congress in charge of the electors.

Music I Liked, Vacation Edition
The last couple of weeks have been so busy that if there was any music playing in the background, I didn’t really notice it. But now that I’m back at my desk and cleaning out my inbox, I’m finding emails I sent myself while I was on vacation. Some of them are reminders about bands I liked while I was on the road to various camping trips this summer – bands like Carnation and Rebel Wizard. Then last week I went to yoga and discovered Maneesh de Moor.

A Nine-Year-Old Reviews Pickathon
I’ve written a bit here and on Three Imaginary Girls about my family’s first experience of of the Pickathon music festival this summer. I also made my 14-year-old write a teenager’s review. I’m studying Article 2 of the Constitution, which deals with the Executive branch of government. Last week in Section 1, Clause 2 I looked at how electors are selected for the Electoral College. This week is Article 2 §1.3. It’s about what the electors do. Some people would claim that it threatens the very existence of democratic representation today.
