It really is quite satisfying to look back over the year and be reminded of all the books I read. It’s kind of like catching up with old friends.

Although they are technically fruit, tomatoes are usually considered savory fare. But at the Friðheimar restaurant in Iceland, every day is Iron Chef, and the challenge ingredient is always tomatoes. Which means that even fancy desserts involve tomatoes.
